Core Leadership Team

Rohit Dixit
Founder and Executive Director

Hi. My name is Rohit (pronounced “ROW”-“HIT”), or just call me “Ro.” I grew up in Baltimore but went to school in New York at Columbia University. Be the Change in DC hopes to make people aware of the homeless plight and perhaps even inspire those who have lost hope that even one person can really make a difference. I believe that every homeless person who wants to be helped deserves a second chance, and I hope that one day, if we all work together, BTCDC can help provide that second chance. Please join our cause however you can — whether it’s time as a volunteer or a donation, small or large, you CAN make a difference through Be the Change in DC!

I have been in D.C. for a couple years now and I feel fortunate enough to come across this organization.  I have been so impressed by the motivated, dedicated members of Be the Change in D.C.  I also feel fortunate to be able to leverage my business background to help the organization in the treasury and secretary role.  This is a great organization with a great cause.  I would like to encourage you to come out to one of our events and see what this organization is all about.  I look forward to working together to help support a great cause.

Paige Adams

I’m Paige. After two years in DC, I finally feel like I know the place and joining BTCDC is one of the reasons. Prior to DC, I worked in Dallas at a nonprofit that focused on raising awareness of international issues in the community. My current job is director of development at a national nonprofit that advocates for increased inclusion of women-owned businesses in the corporate supply chain. BTCDC is the first nonprofit where I’ve had the opportunity to truly help people in a tangible way, and it’s a great feeling. Not to mention the BTCDC group is an eclectic bunch that makes every outing a memorable experience.
